Frequently asked.
Six questions we are asked more often than the others — three about how we think, three about the practical realities of building in this part of California.
I love architecture and every aspect of the design process, from first intuitions, through acts of creation, like drawing, 3D visualizations, and model making. I love people. Architecture is all about people. I love the personal nature of designing homes and we take pride in working closely with clients to help bring their dreams to life. I love the creative dialogue of construction, where our design intentions meet the skills and perspectives of talented contractors and craftspeople, and where ideas become reality.
Uncompromisingly modern and known for creating homes that are elegant, comfortable, and finely tuned to our clients' lives and the environment. The most meaningful feedback we receive is when our clients' friends and family tell us how much the design of the home reflects their loved ones as individuals.
No. We've designed custom residences for a wide range of sites, from city infill lots, to suburban parcels, to overlooked plots of corner, to mountainside perches. Good design has the potential to elevate the characteristics of any site.
If you don't yet have a lot, we can work with you to identify a property that has potential. I also work with top local agents who can help execute a site.
Our design process is a dialogue with our clients to maximize each property's potential and connect the architecture of the home with its surroundings.
